Prossy Grace is 30 years old. She got married when she was fifteen years old. She has five children: her first born is fifteen, the next is thirteen, then ten, eight, and the last born is three years old. Her husband would abandon her for months at a time to be with other women. Prossy Grace was faithful to her husband and was led to believe that this was how her life was supposed to be since she was neglected and abandoned as a child.
Prossy Grace first received warning signs of the disease when she had bleeding and pain. She was weak all the time so she finally decided to go get tested. She was found to be HIV positive. Since she found out, she has been able to get the proper medicine and now feels better. Prossy Grace was still struggling to feed her family though. Sometimes when there was nothing to cook and no money to buy food, she would boil a pot of water and pretend to cook so her children would think there was food coming. She would boil the water so long until her children finally got tired and feel asleep. She was hopeless. She had no source of income, no clothing for her children and nothing to eat.
TAPP

TAPP members got wind of her situation and went to visit her. They told her about TAPP, about the counseling, about the small projects, they told her there was a place to belong. So she went to see what TAPP was about. Through TAPP she has learned skills such as bead making and is able to make a small income, enough to by food and medicine for her and her children.
TAPP has given her the love that she had been missing her whole life. She thanks God everyday for showing her that she can have hope in His love. The TAPP members care for each other and don’t let each other go without hope. Prossy Grace wants to always give everything she gets to others because she remembers what it was like to have nothing.
